New to the forum and just purchased my first blaster project. I was told that it would need a new top end so I went ahead and started to strip the motor. After removing the cylinder jug, I noticed this crack on the side of the bolt screw . Thought the top end rebuild was going to be a pretty straight forward process but now I am stuck with this issue.

Is there a way to fix this without having issues in the future or would it be easier to just buy a new motor?

Any input would help.

Thanks!

Would help to know exactly where you’re talking about. Pics?
Could consider getting it welded.
A new/different motor doesn’t mean a good motor.
With all the junk Chinese cylinders I wouldn’t trust any
