Hi! My son just got his Blaster running. he has a full Pro Circuit pipe, Vforce4 reed assembly, timing advance, 32:1 mix 93 octane, air box lid removed, and K&N filter. We started with a 290 jet and the thing runs great! Pulls hard, with no hesitation at any point. Compression was 150psi. And it passes a leak down test. This is what his plug chop looked like. Should I leave it alone? I don’t want to melt a piston. Lol Please help. Thank you

I'd run it
a good way to learn is to throw bigger jets in it and feel what it does, run better ....keep going up, falls on it's face ...go back down

Thank you so much for responding. The only thing I can say about how it runs now, is that it pulls incredibly strong, but I did just notice a popping sound at the very top end as he winds it completely out. Is that normal? Sorry for the noob questions. This is my first experience with a blaster.

should be no popping anywhere, jump up one main jet size and see how it reacts.
I'd also check for exhaust leaks, the plug wire and boot, the connection up in the boot that contacts the plug,
NGK screw on boots can be had at most local auto stores for under $10, cut 1/2" off the wire to apply a new boot.

I actually have a video of the piping sound. You can hear it right as he winds out the gear and starts to slow.

Thank you! I didn’t even think of the boot.
