Runs fine for a while then spudders and dies

I have a 97 blaster. It starts up and drives great. After a few minutes the quad spudders out and dies. 10 kicks later it starts up and runs good for a few minutes then dies. The gas line runs when not on carb but goes empty after driving, it still runs after restart with only half the line full. So the carb isn't taking enough gas, even though the float is set to the manuals hight and new not sticking needle and seat, gas tank filters are also clean. After I get back in the yard the spark plug is running a nice tan brown, so it's not lean. I don't know what is wrong, this is a list of stuff that I've done and covered that are not the problem:
-new carb boot
-clean carb and rebuild kit
-float hight is right
-gas tank is clean and flows when not attached to carb
-125psi compression
-has good spark and coil isn't bad
-removed/unpluged all tors system

All of the holes and drain lines on the carb are clear. The gas cap is not the problem because I've removed the ball valve thing and have driven it without the cap "which was a stinky mess" . When I drove it today after it died I pushed it back to the yard so I wasnt run after it died, the spark plug was the same colour.

just some other things to check....

I had a float problem once that the metal of the floats was hanging up to grooves that wore in the aluminum post the floats mount to
a quick file job and cleaning fixed it

cracked float filling with fuel ?
submerse the floats in fuel to see if bubble rise to check for a cracks

I also had a grounding problem once that only showed after the bike was ran for a while, acted just like a fuel problem
as will a bad plug cap

I have changed the coil and cap. I have two carbs and and both floats have been interchanged, I've put both carbs on with different combinations of floats and such. Nothing changed. If it was still to be an electrical problem I have a "Root Boost" cdi thing that connects to my original cdi. I don't really want to mess with it if I don't know what I am doing.

I disconnected the cdi enhancer thing and it made no difference. I don't think it is a gas issue anymore even though the gas line is never full. Is it possible that the cdi or stator could run till they get hot and shut down, but start working again after they cool down 30 seconds later. The problem only occurs in 4-6 gear, not 1-3.
