hello people again, my blaster has a weird power band issue. As I am not very good with engines and the signs of a bad part, I’m here for answers. My blaster has twist throttle and is 2001. Until my quad is more than warm only 1 and 2nd have powerband working sometimes properly. Other than that, I have to hold the throttle open for a long time for it to hit powerband, is this a big concern? Any suggestions on why it does this?

First list ALL mods and main jet size.

Like I said, new to mechanics and engines, some aftermarket body parts and a twist to throttle, and DG exhaust (I checked it’s not the correct exhaust and I put high temp sealant on it to make sure it wasn’t leaking exhaust)

Now you can be an expert :D
"Mods" would be DG pipe. Air box snorkel removed?, air box lid removed?non-stock air cleaner?porting, different carb?, oil injection delete?

Determining main jet size is easy.
Possibly a simple carb cleaning might do it. Or cleaning the air filter.

The search function works real well on here. Just reading random threads will help you understand how these little suckers work. Most sections have pinned topics that have the most commonly asked questions.
However, this doesn't mean your questions won't be answered.

Also, the engine should be warm to the touch before you start riding it. Start it, continually blipping the throttle until the cylinder is warm to the touch. This will help reduce engine wear and prevent cold seize.

Still wouldn't hurt to a plug chop to be sure jetting is good. at least post what size jet you do have.
I still am unsure of the jetting size, it’s a stock carb mikuni 26mm if that’s what you’re looking for, and I did clean it thoroughly, and yeah I’m looking to get a new spark plug as well
