3F03C70F-F78B-4FF3-98C0-3E996181AF7F.jpeg I bought a 1994 blaster from a guy I met online. He told me, that the bike ran, which it did, but it didn’t idle because the air hose wasn’t attached. So I attached the air hose, cleaned the carb, and adjusted the idle screw. After researching, I found out that it could have been the TORS system, so I watched a video and tried cutting it myself. I think I cut the wrong thing, and I don’t remember which wire goes where, so can I just order a new wiring harness and rewire the whole thing? If so, where and which do I order? Would appreciate it if someone shed some light on anything I could do to get my bike to work. I also got my cylinder head stuck on the piston and I can’t remove it, any suggestions on how to fix that? Tried 2 stroke oil, just won’t budge. Thanks in advance!!

Explain what you mean by "Air Hose" So I attached the air hose, cleaned the carb, and adjusted the idle screw. After researching, I found out that it could have been the TORS system, so I watched a video and tried cutting it myself. I think I cut the wrong thing, and I don’t remember which wire goes where, so can I just order a new wiring harness and rewire the whole thing? All wire are colored, should be easy to reconnect anything. On a '94 you really don't need to cut any wires. It's as simple as unplugging the brain box under the hood, 3 wire plug. If so, where and which do I order? Uumm, a 94 harness. Woul appreciate it if someone shed some light on anything I could do to get my bike to work. I also got my cylinder head stuck on the piston how did this happen? For the piston to get stuck on the head would require catastrophic failure. Start by pulling exhaust and look in the port. and I can’t remove it, any suggestions on how to fix that? Tried 2 stroke oil, just won’t budge. Does engine turn with kicker? Thanks in advance!!

The air hose that connects to the carb, and goes to where the air filter is. And yea, I know, a 94 harness but where should I buy it? Should I get a made one off of eBay? And my friend and I were looking at the piston, and when it wasn’t time to put the cylinder head back on, we forgot to lube it up with oil or some sort of lubricant, so now when we try to pull it out, it won’t come off and stays stuck. The engine doesn’t turn when u kick it. It’s like it’s locked or something. And on top of all this, I’m not 100% sure if it wasn’t idling because of the TORS system. Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the help !

Be cautious of eBay parts, hard to determine value of harness by pics. If you're interested in a brand new harness I'm aware of a guy/company that makes new ones for Banshees. He uses connectors compatible with factory. IlI'look for link later.

So how long did it run after assembly? You using premix or injector?
Why did you have it apart?

Alright, thanks. And the bike always ran, you could kick it, give it gas, and end up riding away with it. Once you hit 2/3 gear, it’ll die out. Just like when idling, the bike will bog out. The oil injector on my bike was removed before I purchased it, so I use a 32:1 premix ratio. And me and my friend took the top end apart because we also felt that the compression was too low, and in the process we also did damage to the piston, so I ordered a Wiesco, and am getting my cylinder head getting honed. I’m still unclear of why it won’t idle. Could it be the carburetor? Maybe the jets? (Not sure what size jets I have). I run a full fmf if that helps anything. I cleaned the carb twice, and adjusted the idle screw 1 1/2 turns. It idled and sounded nicely, but once again, the bike just bogged out. That’s WITH the choke. Without it, the bike won’t even bother starting.

Take the carb COMPLETELY apart. Several Jets have hair sized holes, pilot jet and main jet holder/ emulsion tube (on sides)
FMF should have minimum 270+ depending on other mods.
Having to use choke indicates plugged or to small of jet.

I'm not a fan of putting a new piston in a worn hole.
JMHO, your mileage may, and will vary :p

I’m going to Yamaha and I will get a FMF jetting kit. Could this be the only reason why it won’t idle?

No !!!
Idle is controlled by the pilot and air screw. Jet kits are a waste of money. If/when you cleaned carb did you remove idle/pilot and main jet to ensure that you can see light theouth it? What about emulsion tube/main jet holder? Tiny azz holes on side of it. Did you blow air through ALL passages?

List ALL your mods , we'll get you close on main jet.

I have a mikuni carb. I run full fmf. I have no lid in my air box. That’s pretty much everything as of now

You should have cut a black and yellow wire and eliminated the switch in the throttle to bypass the TORS.

As for the cylinder head being stuck, you need to rebuild the engine at that point most likely :(
