GSXR swap issues

SO i have my gsxr caliper mounted, and am using the 03 master.

I cant seem to get it to actually stop using the brakes. Is there enough pressure in the 03 master to stop the GSXR brakes?

if i pump it up and open the bleeders both spray out and im seeing no bubbles so i dont think its an issue with air in the lines.

also is the disc narrower on the blaster than the GSXR? maybe i need new gsxr pads and they are wor down so much they cant make good contact.

you need to remove the caliper from the mount, flip it upside down so the bleeders face up (how it was on the gsxr) this allows all the air to escape up and out of the bleeders. it will never bleed with them facing downwards.
I always put the middle section of a 10mm wrench between the pads while bleeding so they don't close up too far and will give resistance to the bleeding procedure.

Gave this a try and it definitely helped, now it will squeeze the disc some but it seems like it's not stoped it like it should. It will still roll down a hill if have the brake pressed, it seems like maybe the master is not going all the way in. But I can't press it any further by hand.

by hand ? or is it hooked to the pedal/extension ?

in your PM you question using an 03 blaster master cylinder, I've used all kinds of masters with this caliper, they all worked .... blaster, gsxr, banshee, unknowns all worked.

is the pedal pushing the rod exactly straight up into the master ?
if not it will bind up and not go in far enough, this is the most important part of this swap, perfect pedal to master alignment.
also, I'll assume used pads that came with the caliper ? give them time to wear into your disc, hold them on a little to wear them in, or just keep using them often, they should get better as the pads wear in

post some pics of your setup

I have it hooked to the peddle, I'll snap some.e pictures later today, it's not perfect ly straight but with it making fluid come out when I was bleeding it I thought it was straight enough

Does anyone have some photos i can use to to compare to mine?

Most of the threads on here seem to have dead links.

i'll get some pictures up tomorrow morning

That helps, several of those show the master Bing much lower down on the frame than mine so I think that's my issue.

I actually have a bent 03 frame laying around so maybe I should just cut off the bracket on it and we'll that on.

Welding the bracket on should work. You have to make sure enough of the master cylinder is getting pushed in as well.
