Hey, guys, I was wondering if anyone has taken a muffler of a 4 stroke and put it on one of these blasters would it be any quieter than stock. I needed a new pipe so I would replace that then put the muffler on. What are your thoughts?

I doubt you're going to find a quieter silencer than the restrictive stock one.
they do make aftermarket add on silencers, I'm not sure about running it on a 2 stroke though ? you'll need to research that yourself .............

Edit: from the Silent Rider website FAQ's .... The Silent Rider® is designed only for 4-stroke gasoline engines and will not fit a 2 stroke engine at this time.

Ok cool thank you. I think I will just go ahead and keep stock.

 $187.00 ?
Funny I was recently checking out my Foreman 450. There's probably as much noise coming from the engine as exhaust.

Have you tried repacking the silencer?

I have tried and I couldn't. The screws wouldn't come out. and it wouldn't even do anything there are so many exhaust leaks so I need a full exhaust to the same quietness of stock so idk.

The stock expansion chamber is double walled in the largest areas (the bulges) therefore the quietest, same with the silencer. Unfortunately the chamber is actually designed to limit power besides the noise. The chamber is your choice. I think some Chambers will fit with stock silencer, some also have quieter silencers available. YOU have to do your own research on this.
Also at least with the stock silencer you could extend the outlet to where it points directly at the ground.

Ok thanks!

You're welcome.
There's other things that may help. Make sure you have the rubber dampers between the fins on cylinder and head. Maybe even use more? You could wrap the chamber with header wrap. Besides pointing the outlet towards the ground actually extending towards the ground.. If you were to fabricate a second muffler make it 25% larger than the stock exhaust outlet.

Ok cool thank you so much. I will think about trying that out.
