That feeling when she opens up and hits power band.... Anyone that has rebuilt a motor knows it . After rebuilding the top end, toomey b1, Boysen power reeds, vented air box lid, 310 main jet and needle jet adjustment, tires chain, front and rear bearings, brakes wheel spacers, graphic kit, z400 rear shock, oil injection block off and probably a few other things.today was the 1st trail ride and she didn't disappoint. A little break up mid range but top end was there. What a difference from before

I flipped the front wheels for now. Seems to have a wobble when going fast Might spend on the spacers. I have my eye in the +2+1 a arms and doing yfz450 shocks up front Going to run over 300$ for all that tho. Or I found a pair of used banshee shocks for 45$. $ is right so well see

Mid rpm break up
Do you have any porting?
Ok, several things that you can try. First is the pilot jet recommend size by Toomy? Needle and needle clip position?
I presume plug chop is good.
Easiest first. Try turning air screw no more than 1/4 turn either way. If no change return to original setting.
Next raise needle (lower clip) if no improvment return to original. You could also try one clip leaner. If no improvment definitely return to original setting.

Be aware that some combinations have humps and hollows in the power band. Look at Dyno grafs for two strokes. There's a dip just before the power band comes on. Banshees in particular.
Look on this page. Center row, 6th. down, PERFECT example.

I bought the main jet from toomey and followed their directions with the other needle jet and air mix I didn't do any porting which I regret. Have boysen power reeds but not the rad valve Thanks for the input I'll run through it all in all I'm happy as sh*t with how she was running
