I recently rebuilt my top end. I was cheap and bought a chineese cylnder and piston kit. It's all together and runs really nice but after reading the forums I dont feel good about leaving crap parts in. I still have my old cylnder and want to bore it out. If I bring it to the dealer they will bore it but I have to buy the piston from them and will be over charged. I want to buy the piston myself and bring it to them to machine the cylnder. Should I start with . 50 over??

I believe the stock bore is 66mm. I think you could remove 0.020 at a crack. First measure your existing bore, than bore it to the next available size. Pistons are available in all sort of sizes. You want to take off minimal amount of material. Hope this helps.
