Anyone have tips or tricks to install the rotor? I keep sliding the rotor down the crank shaft but I cannot get it to push on without knocking off the key. Thanks

Just now seeing this. It took me an hour and a half to figure this out but I got it. I searched everywhere for this. Also for future reference for someone else. Page 103 <NOTE: Apply a light coating of lithium soap base grease to the tapered portion of the crankshaft end> My addition to this would be >NOTE NOTE Light as in don't get carried away here and don't lube that hole the key goes in<. I was not the first one to break into her and the previous owner or previous owners mechanic did not or could not have belonged to this forum. A few things I have found so far and I should make a list? No key on the rotor for the magneto, I did not see it or any evidence that it was ever there. No damage so I think the PO left it out after inspecting the original problem I posted about and gave up then parked it. I bought this ASSBLASTER (that is the official name and I am sticking to it http://tremors.wikia.com/wiki/Ass_Blaster hoping to do a decal/paint scheme to match. I am all in now.) and a TAO potato (http://www.taotao.us/index.cfm/atvs/ata-125d/) for 400$ I dropped 80$ into the potato and sold it for 400$. I have spent roughly 500$ parts and tools (got to have tools ) so far. Let me calculate. *&^#$*%@&*$^@#@(*)+1= so somewhere near 600$ I'm Not the smartest person in the elevator. I also have found that the overpriced conical washer under the clutch basket was missing which led to the clutch basket rubbing on the top of the balance gear caused the original failure. As for the root cause of why the PO broke the engine down IDK? SO no my rant isn't over. Why do manufactures of any equipment not give specs on parts... ever? Any way I have been missing for a little bit is partially due to funds, health, and an electric wheelchair I picked up for free and plan to turn into something (RC tank, yellow jacket nest killer? IDK yet but ASSBLASTER is priority). I am open to conversation and welcome suggestion as well as criticism. This is a project that has taught me a lot and occupies time I would be otherwise watching reruns of moma's family with the wife.
