Just got a 06' with tors removed (spliced right after CDI) and also has parking brake wires cut (not sure if correctly, that was done when i got it).

I did the tors removal myself and after removal the quad will not start. It had issues starting before but would eventually start and idle fine. I attributed the hard starts before to the tors system but now it is removed and it will not start at all. I ordered a new iridium plug to rule that out as an issue (I don't trust $3 AutoZone plugs).

Any NGK plug in a B8 family is all you need. Don't know if the irridium plug is needed, or will help. Might be time to check reeds.
Do you have spark?

Didn't you already have a thread going on this topic?

Hey man thanks for the reply. This is my first quad (4 stroke dirt bike guy) so I'm happy it's a pretty moddable one with an awesome community!

I do have spark now and I got it back running, turns out if you can the wires at the CDI it doesn't work... I guess it wasn't grounded.

It will start and idle well but will not rev up too well. Is that a bad Reed symptom? I have boysen Reed's ordered and I also ordered a new carb without the oil injection or tors as well as a block off kit. I also have a whole new top end ordered but if replacing the Reed's fixes the power loss I'll just keep that for when the top end fails.

I also ordered all new tires and Nerf bars and a skidplate and a new thumb throttle without the electrical BS and wheel spacers for the front. I intend to trail ride mostly but also do a little mx style riding with it.
