Im in need of a rear brake caliper with the cable setup. Just bought my first blaster and did a complete rebuild on it from the ground up, got it running and realized i had no back brakes, took the caliper plate off and the guy i bought it from took the whole mechanism out....really just need thw inside mechanism but would be finw buying the whole caliper if someone has one. Thanks

I'll be watching this thread as I'm in the same boat. Ebay seems to have a ton of '03 on brake calipers but I'm not finding anything for an '02

IIRC all parts are still available, but the main piece is stupid expensive . If it were me I would make my own hydraulic conversion, it's not hard. Even if you don't have a welder, the little bit that needs done won't break you.

I'm reading up on the conversion. I may opt for that. If I can score an old caliper at a reasonable price, I'd like to do that. We will see.

Plus, all you guys upgrading to these hydraulic setups must have a bunch of these old calipers lying around. ;)

Couldn't get mine to work no matter what, and couldn't justify the cost of parts, it got scrapped. It isn't hard, couple of brackets for master, resivore fits right front bracket for fenders. Make sure bracket on pedal is same length as what original pedal is. Bracket for Cali is pretty simple too. Plate with spacers welded or I guess you could use loose spacers on the bolts.

You don't have to do anything special in spacing it the rotor slides/floats as does the Cali. Just start with rotor centered on splines. Search Awk brakes, he had a bolt on master cylinder mount. He used to sell kits.

I havent done anything anything yet. I just got home from deployment and haven't had a chance to look into my options.
I bought these while I was away and they need other work to get them running.

I got my son an 02 and didn't have a caliper. I need to get him some rear brakes...
