Blaster counter balance shaft gear

looks like the rivets holding the plate to the gear are worn ?

can't remember if there's a keyway in there or not, but it may be worn too, allowing play = wear ?

make sure the dots on the gears are aligned to properly time the balancer with the crank, out of line could have produced excess vibration = wear ?

IIRC, there are .also rubber cushion in there also.
How did you discover this problem ? I had catastrophic failure in that area. Never knew if the bearing failed taking out the gear or vice versa. Plus it took out the case half.
That's why I usually recommend close inspection when inside clutch cover.

Haven't mentioned it in a while cause it seemed like preaching to the choir.

I recently trade for this Blaster and have slowly been going over everything before riding season. I noticed the quad was smoking white smoke.. so I was in the process of changing the crank seal on the clutch side and saw this problem. Lucky I guess.

Anyone know or have any tricks on how to remove the counter balancer bearing on the stator side of the case? the bearing on the clutch side is easy as it is open on both sides.. but stator side its only open on one side. Do i need a puller of some sort. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

blind bearing puller (google it..... amazon, ebay, advance auto/autozone)
or heat the case in the oven to 250 degrees and it should drop out, but so will all the others.
