so i hav a new project here at the shop and the trans bearing went boom boom all needle bearings fell into clutch cover/case....

question is can i swap this bearing without splitting cases...it is the sprocket shaft

yea its getting split anyway....now having issue with 3rd gear dont wanna go higher stopping at 3rd......assuming theres bearing material caught in trans

If you are trying to bench test, one of the shafts must be turning for the dogs to engage.
Could be worn/bent fork. Actually could be other things. Inspect/test as you disassemble.
Take notice of how the bearing sits in the case. To far in and it won't spin. Been there, missed that
Consider replacing the counter balancer shaft bearings while apart.
