Busco semi drag build

Building my First drag blaster. The only place I go to is busco since its the closest to me. I usually go down there to ride the trails. I have a 02 blaster with 06 plastics (shown).
I have enough parts to build another so I'm going for a drag blaster. I have a like new bottom end so I don't want to do the stroker thing just yet. Here's what I got so far. Some things still need some work.

Had an 06 frame sitting around. One of my buddies sprayed it down for me with Chevy's victory red. Should I do the boysen ports on the cylinder. Does it make a big diference? Eventually I will add them.
