Need help asap 4th thru 6th gear is like neutral

Hey guys haven't had much luck with this getting new steels and fibers this week though just waiting on clutch tool to take basket off and inspect the mechanism

Well guys have an update took all the fibers and steals out and shifted through the gear while moving hub with my hand and once you hit 5th and 6th just like neutral moves freely. as I can see rn till I get clutch tool in the shift star and mechanism seem to b fine I watch the mechanism latch on to the star while shifting into 6th and 5th and still does not engage this ones has me stumped and it can't b inside th cases Bc u really can put anything in wrong inside plus everything was perfect just like manual.and now 4th is completely back no problems

Plz don't tell me that lol really don't wanna take the whole motor out again and spilt cases but idk we will c this weekend when I get clutch tool in and can inspect everything closely

im voting on something inside the trans is messed up. Might be best to split the cases and take everything out and put it back in again.

But I don't think they are bent Bc shifted through all gears before rebuild
Yes, did you bench shift it without the right side case on. Things move around a lot without the case on. May of shifted good without it, until other half was on. I'm not positive on what's going on just picking the brain. May pay to split if you can't find any other problems.

If there were no problems before it has to be an assembly problem. Suggest studying manual/videos before disassembly, might catch something on breakdown that wasn't quite right. Don't know if shift forks can even go in the wrong place, never had that problem.

By chance did you heat the cases for any reason? I've had bearings fall out during this process and once had one move just enough to cause binding. Was tearing my hair out much as you are.

First two times had sealant on cases. Second time around was checking shafts, everything was good. Torquing it down shafts bound up. Then I assembled bare, one shaft at a time. Right side output shaft bearing was a hair to deep. After adjustment everything was fine.

Might have to do same as me, one shaft at a time including shift drum, looking for problem.

Honestly I don't there is anyway to install the internals wrong lol I'm gonna wait to get the tool and clutch in and c if it's external

Good luck to you man hopefully once you get settled in az we will see another blaster being built by u lol
Possibly. I've always wanted a 250r. A Razor 4 door is first on the list. Soo many places to ride out there. But since I've been riding the ttr90, I may get a bike. Not sure yet. But a blaster would be fun again. I would do a few things different.

Out my way there are more side by sides than quads when we go riding. Those things can do almost anything. They do rut up the trails and make our quads high center though since they sit higher off the ground :(
