i made these to chests the last couples days of my welding class cause i had nothing better to do and had wanted to make them for awhile, just never got around to it

i have no plans to sell them but i was offered $70 for one of them yesterday

yes i did go to welding school and yes i could have made every weld in a single bead.... but i want it all tacked to make it look old and like hammered steel so to say like they really did back then. was also thinking about taking a needle gun to the steel to see if it would get the "hammered look" but didnt have time to test it out before i could do it to the chest itself, the wood is from a pallet which i went over with and oxy-acetylene torch to smoke it and then smeared the smoke in with my gloves to make it look old. i only had enough wood to finish one of them, but ill finish the other's wood part someday, the metal is all done on it.

my brain, theres a guy on youtube that made one, so i just kinda thought about it made a simple part on CAD and burned it out on the CNC plasma, which was the bottom and 4 sides, then bent them up, hand plasmaed the sides out and made a lid

here is the link, im pretty sure his chest is bigger than mine but im happy the way mine are
