Hey everyone, I'm a new guy from mo. I have a 99 blaster that im gettin ready to rebuilt.
New parts
Crank
Piston and rings
Reeds
Air filter
Carrier and bearings
Axle
Chains and sprockets
Heavy duty clutch kit

Parts to get
Rear tires (any ideas)
Hydro rear brakes
Lights

What can I do to help with performance that's cheap?

Ive already done the oil tank and tors delete.

Welcome, I agree, have Ken do some port work and mod your head. You'll be quite pleased with the power increase for the money spent.

Welcome to the forum. I would also look into some type of aftermarket exhaust. Depending on where you want your power there are many to choose from.

Welcome to the forum !!!

You can find good deals on tires on https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/ I bought from them there service is great you can give it a try

With the rear brake I would said the Awk08 rear brake setup is definitely one of the best out there you can PM him he always around here

Also Pics always are welcome here :)

I'll get pics up as soon has I can. I'm outta town for a couples weeks. I do a lot of trail riding and go to the dunes every summer. What size tires do y'all recommend on stock wheels?

What kind of budget do you have for mods? its about $160 for porting, another $60 for a head mod
first thing you should really do it buy a better pipe if you dont have one. $100-$350

Every person will tell you one tire is better than the other. it all depends where/what you ride
I love my Tech4 STI wheels. had 18" on my white blaster and they did great. the 18" will fit on stock rims.
My new blaster i have 20" tires but had to buy 9" rims which are for banshees and they required new hubs. so for 2" i spent about $150 more

the port and head mods don't generally require rejet. other mods do however.

Wrong. Porting is a change of air flow, change of air flow requires a jet change!

The size tire you run affects your gearing. For trail riding I like to run 20 inch tires with 13/40 gearing. If running 18 inch tires I recommend running 14/40 sprockets.

Mmmmm, I went from a stock cylinder, to a KOR ported cylinder and head re chamber and did not need to alter the jetting.
I'm not as knowledgeable, but as i see it, it increase airflow, but its like putting a fan in your house. It only helps move the air that is there better, unless you open a window. A port job or head mod cannot over come the restriction of the intake or exhaust. If it was just a matter of airflow amount boysen ports would be no better then slightly opening the intake itself. Btw welcome, lots of good info here, and a few varying opinions lol. When in doubt plug chop to check jetting

Right now I don't have really have a lot to spend on mods cause I'm tryin to get my own house. Im just wantin to get it runnin right now. I already got a chain and sprockets that are the stock gearing. I planned on gettin a dg exhaust
