Fixing up 1995 Blaster

OK, Her's the run down -

Stock pipe
FMF Turbinecore 2 Exhaust
no air box lid
clean foam filter
Engine bored 66.75

What jet size should I start with to do a plug chop?

whats your elevation?..... I would go with 280 but might be high maybe not ?? I would start there and see what you get. Better safe than sorry and you never know you may need to go up from there. every bike is different.

technically the needle does change jetting. but not the right jetting for what you have done

i believe the needle changes around half throttle.

main jets change above 3/4 and pilot changes below 1/3ish

My only trouble is the distance needed to run a plug chop. I live in town and is getting cold in Iowa. Which can get REALLY cold soon. Thus limiting riding for the season. I will plug chop my yellow one and the blue re-build on the other thread as soon as I can. Both start on 1 to 2 kicks in legit temps.

The Girls... Ol blue has a 98 (straight) frame to get changed over in the spring.

Plug chop.......

You have to get up a reasonable speed so that you can get the motor to pull strongly.

Then hold it Wide Open Throttle (WOT) for 10 secs or as long as you can.

The idea is not to get speed but to make it pull strong at full throttle to get onto the main jet circuit.

I find I can safely do it on a short run by applying the brakes some.

If you have not enough room you can use 4th or 5th gear with good results.

i would plug chop in the summer temperature only.

since it sounds like you wont be riding in the cold, it will only throw your jetting off

Hey, thanks, thats kinda what I was leaning at with the temp. It gets 12 F easy at night. I wanna get the oil injector off the yellow one this winter so they both run premix.
