Blaster cylinder measures 72.97 with calipers. Look how much meat is left in the cylinder. I know calipers are not the best way to measure, but I don't have a bore gauge. Point being, shouldn't the cylinder be a lot thinner at that measurement?

And its a bigger sleeve pressed into a stock cylinder. Could it be a 265cc sleeve?

no such thing as a 265 sleeve.
they achieved that "supposed 265cc" by using a +6 crank in a 240cc cylinder at max bore.

So is this what it should look like when its on it's last bore. I would think it should be a lot thinner if it was maxed out.

you looking at whats left between the sleeve and the studs ?

part of the problem u are having measuring that, is u have the calipers way to deep in there..... to get an accurate measurement u need to only measure with the beveled/angles part at the end of the fingers. If u go measure like that again u will see small gaps in the round cylinder where the "fingers" touch because it is round.

here's what i want to know. why is it that some blaster do and some don't have those little pipe looking things running through the fins? is it for extra cooling somehow or is it to quiet the engine noise, some?

you need to be more descriptive then that.... are you talking about the aluminum plates that some people have on their bikes that is mounted underneath the front fenders near the engine?

He is talking about the holes that go through the fins in the cylinder. I don't know why some have them and some don't.

if you look at the beginning of this thread, you can see what i am talking about in the photos.
