i have the opportunity to trade my 450r for a yfz that is setup way better then my 450r. Im very comfortable on my 450r but my it has been nothing but problems. The yfz has houser a arms, custom axis shocks, hot rods crank, flexx bars, houser nerfs, and a houser stem its built also its a 07 model. Should i do it the only thing keeping me from doing it is im attached to my 450r. also i race with him and he has had dnf's the last 3 races and he told me it was because of his coil cap and he kept buying used ones and they kept breaking on him. but this past weekend was double header weekend and he finished both races because he finally bought a brand new one. The way i look at it either bike i have im gonna have to work on it. He said he has receipts for when it was rebuilt also. i need some opinions guys. i could turn around and sell the yfz for anywhere from 3500-4000 which is way more then i could get out of my 450r.

i say trade, but there has to be problems with his if its worth that much more...

hes pretty cool i talk to him at the races all the time and we both said we usually keep them for about a year then get bored with them and sell them. But you never know who to trust these days.

Your Honda will have more power and last much longer. Now on the other side of things, that YFZ has alot of nice work done to it. But no one in their right mind would just think "Eh I think I'll trade my race quad for an almost stock one." There is almost DEFINATELY something wrong with it. Those don't look like Custom Axis shocks either. You're choice. My opinion, either save up and build your Honda or trade, then sell the YFZ and buy a built TRX.

sorry about the whole shock thing i thought it said custom axis on the sticker, he said he sent them to elka but i dont think you can send them there and have them build them?

didnt trade he texted me last night said the quad was hard to start for some reason and would smoke when started. i told him i didnt want it.

Honda's are MUCH easier to pull power out of. And there is a reason that YFZ has an aftermarket crank. I'm telling you, keep the Honda! lol I've owned them both.
