Hi guys just purchased this ALUMINIUM RACING GRILLE MESH - 8.5 " x 6 " | eBay

to make my 2003 type hood like race style how would i go about attaching this? i was thinking about bolts and nuts. would it work? obviously i would need to drill my plastic.

I wouldn't bolt and nut it, those will just take away the clean look. Get some tough glue, or fiberglass it from behind.

cheers guys going to go with the bolts got some decent size ones i bought for my flywheel cover and iv got spare left over. need to cut them but nothing major will put thread up of it once its done

3 small bolts. Look at my sons hood that looks exactly like what I used. It bends really easy then cut away as much as possible but leaving anough to cover the light hole. The one bolt in each upper corner and one at the tip. It really looks cool if you black it out

Something like this : Button Head Cap Screw - Cap Screws | MSCDirect.com would give nice finished look, especially in chrome !!

when i put the mesh grill in my hood i used JB weld on the back side of the plastic. Mines the 450R hood tho so i dont know how well it would work with yours but it would look a lot better than using bolts.

thanks bud i think i will use this method. ordered some on ebay i didn't really want to use bolts either as my mate one has bolts and i don't like it lol. but jb weld will be better

Heres mine. Yours would be harder to do but id try it first. Ive got extra mesh and a 03 hood i may just have to try it.

it cool bud i can only try if it fails il just get bolts out lol. should have it by monday

I like that look. I run the exact same hood. I'm going to put some lights in the holes when I get bored!

someone can tell me the original reference type hood but in RED?
the blue is 5VM-23391-00-00
