Hi guys i got my new dmc exhaust system today. i got the front pipe on but the silencer is about a inch off lining up to get bolt put on to hold silencer. the stock system lined up but this isn't? it is correct exhaust well i think as it came straight in a dmc box with dmc labels with blaster written on. pipe fits just silencer won't line up

lots of times you have to leave the headpipe loose to fit the pipe. i have def had to give pipes a little persuation in the past for the final fit

thanks man! was abit worried when it wouldn't fit lol know on the stock exhaust how you have the tab thing that bolts up under the hood for extra holding strength? do i use the stock one as i didn't get one with exhaust.

yes use the stock hanger under the hood. you usually have to adjust the angle it is hanging to get it to bolt up right. just get everything loose, fit it all together then start tightning things

awesome :) will add video of it running with dmc once i get my jets in the post I:I

Glad Your Getting it Figured out !! , Luckily mine Fit Very Well , Only took About 8-10 Mins Total To Install ! .

yeah man :) relized i tightened up the front pipe instead of fitting the rest first lol the same thing i done wrong when fitting the stock one lol! but added pictures to my build thread of shocks mounted on quad!!:D

I run a DMC Alien, and was scepitical when the fitting instructions called for the needle to be on the bottom clip.

It really does need to be there, the DMC produces quite a lot of power down low and is a thirsty beast.

You will also notice with a DMC running the recommended needle setting, that it is nessesary to warm up a little longer so that the richer mix gets cleared out before giving it the herbs.

Whoa boy, lay off the kicker.

As a tease, this is how it will sound.

oh man your killing me!lol i watched that vid on a thread a few months i think :p phoning shop on thursday to order my jets guy i am buying from has had experience with people wanting jets for blaster before and told him my mods and he is sorting my a jet range. there like $4 a peice so not that expensive alot cheaper than the kits! hopefully il get out on quad in the next few weeks. still need to hunt for a towbar for grandads car. went to see one today guy said it was the whole thing. a 30 minute drive (not much but still.) and we get there and its only the towball part not the support bar or anything. plus the towball was no good either as came off a Peugeot van not a hatchback :(

haha, step away from the kick start ;) you got plugs sorted? I found a steal on plugs on eBay, I'll try find the link now.

hi mate thanks for that but im just going to judge by sound and throttle as i can't plug chop due to the fact if i start the quad my neighbours moan and if i ride it at my house the police come. also the track closest to me is like half a hour but i cant go just to ride for 5 minutes. blasster said to start with a 300 main jet and if it bogs/sounds like a 4 stroke drop a jet size :)

I'd prefer to be close to the mark, things act differently under load than sat there free revving. I wouldn't want to try and jet something by listening to noise but hey worth a go :) although I really can't see how the load from a WOT run in 6th can ever be replaced by listening to it. I'd really want to do a plug chop. let us know how it goes though :)

Plug chops are the correct way to go, but at times they cannot be done because of circumstances.

If you are unable to plug chop, one can safely come close by fitting a main jet which is defitnately too large and then jetting back until the motor behaves itself.

This usually gets you up and running on the rich side, until you can find a place to do a plug chop.

One can tell when the motor starts pulling well and the exhaust sound changes from a burbling or babbling sound (4 stroke sound, or having the choke on).

I do not condone riding for extensive periods of time until a plug chop is done.
