hey guys wanted to join the fourm and say hi get to now ppl and learn a few things, possibly help others as i learn myself.

i'verode wheelers from the time i was 12 used to ride alot more back then. 1st wheeler was a yamaha moto4 200cc(i think) rode it a while but never really wanted it in the first place, traded up for a lt230(my first clutch anything) and loved it beat the snot outa it for many many years till it seized up( i was young had no understanding of maintance or oil changes) sold it off in late 2000 and my grandfather(god rest his soul) bought me and him 2 brand new wheelers a few months later. he got himself a 2001 polaris trailblazer(TB)(cuz it was auto and he didnt wanna shift) and he bought me my very first 2001 yamaha blaster! man i loved it!
i got mine about a week before he picked up the TB so i had already learnd to whip it pretty good. i rember it like it was yesterday the day he brought home the TB i was showing off infront of him wanting him to be proud of me. riped some wheelies did some doughnuts, drifted cricles around him wheile he sat on the Tb and then i i decided to ride on two side wheels in circles around him( i used to do this alot on my other wheelers just haddnt tried yet on the blaster) came in way to hot and tiped it up and right away dumped it rolled that thing right over top of myself lmao, i got up like wth just happend he tells me it rolled 3 times! im dieing loling about it and he was just like ur gona kill yourself. rolled that pig back onto its wheels and beat it like a red headed step child for a few more months.

one day grandpa wrecked the TB pretty good down a rain ruff of trench was like 15 feet at a step angle and about 6 feet of water at the bottem. front tire over the edge and it just sucked it in he did his best and rode it out till he hit the water and was slamed over the bars. he submerged completly and didnt resurface right away. i panicd and jumped of my blaster well it was still rolling( it hit a tree and stoped) and dove in after him. he was ok for the most part but fractured his shoulder and i told him no more he was to old(65) to try to keep up with my 16 year old pace, he agreed and stoped riding the TB and parked it. i ended up haveing clutch issues with my blaster paid dealer to fix it and rode it a few times one day and the rear brake locked up. stupid me grabs the rotor after trying to ride it down the road. burnd myself good to the ER i went (opps) stoped rideing it for a few months then decded fix the brakes. did and took for a ride and it didnt wanna drive right. i once agein was young (but thought i knew it all) thought it was the motor beging to lock up. so stupid me sells a 2001 blaster in 2002 for $900......... needless i ran into the guy and he told me 3 clucth spring bolts had broke he replaced them and it rode great.... live and you learn.
mean while the tb sat for a few years untouched outside uncoverd till i got a itch to ride and i rememberd we had it( totaly fogot about it for the fe years) so asked grandpa if i could have it he answers " what TB?" i remeinded him of it and were it was(on a friend property) he said he forgot about it too.... we call them and go to pick it up turns out they had been riding it the whole time and it was in ruff shape..... i was a lil disapoionted ut hey it was still mine. took it home fixed it up and rode it for many more years, grew up a lil more got a car and decided to park it at the same frineds new camp they just got lots of land and a barn to park it in about 45 mins away from me was pefect. rode there a year or so and we all lost intrest in wheeling and built cars and bikes.

well it had been about another year and i haddnt seen it again so i get the itch to ride and my buddy just started getting into 4 wheeling so i go pick it up and of course my buddy and his fam had been beating on it sense id last seen it. enough was enought brought it home fixed it up and started riding it again.
got very board on it very quick cuz i like to rip wheelies and it just wouldnt.and sense i ride motorcycles too now(f4i stunt bike) i wanted something with a clucth, imedeatly i thought of the blaster.put a ad up on craigslist to barter and a few hours later had a bunch of offers to trade lots of junk(imo) but two ppl offerd me blasters so i knew i hadda make one of them work out a deal with me.

one needed kick start repaird but was bone stock
other needed clucth, brake and other minor repairs but had fmf pipe, boyesen rad valve,k&n filter, jetting, wiseco piston. possible other work but this is all i know for sure. so i decided f it lets trade i like to wrench and will give me a chnace to tweek it the ways i want to a lil bit. so we did it up
i traded that 2001 polaris trailblazer stright up for the balster even tho it was a lil ruffer and needs front tires also but hey i got what i want a BLASTER!

YES IM 27 AND EXCITED TO HAVE MY 2ND BLASTER!!!

let the rebuilding/ mods begin im older and smarter this time around

"cliff notes" picked up my wheeler i hadnt seen in about a year had it sense brand new in 2001 traded it for a blaster and havent looked back.

tore into it right away knowing it needed a clucth i just checked to be sure and it did so i orderd it right away. boot between the carb and boyesen intake mani was cracked and dry rotted so orderd that too.

rear caliper was missing but sense there junk i didnt mind and motunted a 96 zx6r 4 pot front caliper to the rear of the blaster. i plan to make a better moutn later so there more pad contact but for now i just drilled the stock caliper bracket mount holes a tad bigger used two 1/2 in spacers and bam it olts right on! now to fab the master cyclinder mount and mod the brake lever.
also i have a old steering stabilizer laying around that still works so im planing to mount that up to the blaster too.
i still need new front brake cables and pads but ill make due with what i got till i got the extra $$ to just do the hydo disc swap( i know the infos here i just havne searched it yet but any recamended swaps?)

im planing to flip the front rims for a bit wider and possibley do wheel spacers asap. id like to put new holeshot tires on all around but new rims would be cool too! id like to do the 1 inch handle bar rider mod and get new bars or maybe just got pro taper all the way,and a easy pull clucth lever as i have a rsc lever on my f4i and things like butter smooth, one thing at a time tho.

Righteous Stunt Metal - Home of the Righteous Stunt Clutch <<< life time warranty!!!!! lil expensive but will be the last clucth lever you ever need to buy unless u have multi toys like me then after you buy one you will want it on everything you own!

ok im tired now and this is my longest intro ever on any forums.

pic #1 is just for fun this is what i do to take a brake from wrenching for a bit, kick it up and rip some circle wheelie's
#2 currant just snaped pic of the blaster and toys. adding the rear master and putting in the clutch. cleaning the carb and hopefully riding it for the first time tomm
#3 the zx6 caliper drilled the holes a size bigger and used half inch spacers. pads hang over top of rotor a bit but should still work till the pads start touching lol. gonna try and lower it later but this will work for know so i can move on to other things to ride.

hey guys thanks glad to be here. bummer981 im in chili center and do most of my riding down the train tracks to churchville and down westshore trails have a few other small spots on freinds property we ride for just screwing around.

can any one answer this. i deleted the oil tank under the seat, so ill be mixing the gas and oil from now on what ratio should i run it at? and any issue with the jetting after doing this?

thanks.

had a pretty good wreck today first time out on it lost it over backwards in the top of 3rd the trails are all rocks and gravel. me and the blaster are pretty beat up pretty sure i bent the stearing stem hopefully not. hopefully its just the bars. but the way it hit and rolled im sure theres more things bent then i know. i have a hole on the heel of my foot from my when my shoe came off( i know time for some real gear)and a gash in my elbow. hips a lil black and blue. glade i was wearing my lid and gloves tho_OUCH :/

that being said im convinced this blaster built at least a lil.i pretty much cant keep the wheels on the gorund in 1st-4th. if my stock one in 2001 was like this when i was 16 id be dead.

i think a longer swing arm is in the near future. and smaller rear tires

get a +4 rear swinger thats what most everyone on here has and loves it, strokedtater extends them, and 32:1 is most of us run and love it!! bump the main up 1 size after the block off and plug chop to make sure the jet is correct
