well I promised myself id never buy a kawasaki atv but hey, my friend sold me this one not running for $200, valves wouldn't move, I took the cover off the timing chain, it worked fine, must be the cam. I bumped the top gear on the timing chain by accident, it wobbled everywhere, tightened that bolt, valves worked perfect, put some gas it, she started right up. now to bog it til it dies. :D I hope its a challenge to get some carnage pics later!

That's either a bayou 220 (2wd) or a bayou 300 (some were 2wd and some were 4wd). It LOOKS like it has single plane front suspension which would make it one of the two 2wd models. If it didn't have those hand guards on it, I could tell for sure. The 4wd models had front hydro brakes while the 2wd models had cable.

that brought back horrible memories of that POS lakota we had a few years back......yuck !!!!!

Year model? model? Was it 4wd from the factory and someone removed it?

Was it hydro drums on front? The 300 4x4 and 400 4x4's used the same dual piston caliper and spindles setup as the later model Prairie 700's and 650 SRA brute forces. They would slide all 4 tires at any speed under any conditions using ONLY the front brakes....
