who rides sand?

I love the sand (and trails). But there is something to be said about not being confined to a certain path. The wide open feeling is so amazing not to mention how much of the beach we can ride over here, many people go there and food/water/gas/firewood is very easy to aquire. I go to Florence OR for that experience, and then there is the desolate desert dunes where there is nothing but a gas station/minimart I go to Christmas Valley sand dunes.

^^
No paddles is quite the experience. Even though I run em, its totally cheating lol

Prolly everyone with access to dunes would ride them ... like 2 Smoke says, there's a special wide open feeling everyone should have a chance to experience ... glad you have that link in your sig ... visit them while you can

yea i saw that on blastard's sig so i thought i would support it to...but yea the wide open feeling of being able to just go 6th gear WOT and creating a huge rooster tail out of sand is amazing, i ussually ride winchester bay and sand lakes...

I would so love to ride dunes haha I want to see what my blasty can really do!

I haven't played on the dunes but I'm taking a trip to florence at the end of the summer. I hope the blasty is done by then. Sand lake is a lot closer to me so I will be taking more trips there after the florence trip for sure. Where's winchester bay and is it a good spot?

Here's an old link to some Oregon dune info.

I'm about 30 min south of Sand Lake and a couple hours North of Florence. It's a little farther South to Winchester Bay and Box Car.
Sand Lake is pretty small but it's close to us and there's a good Mexican restaurant in Pacific City so it makes a great place to train the youngsters and still have a great time.
Florence is our favorite riding with lotsa trails & lotsa space.
Winchester Bay can have some big steep dunes and of course it is host to the annual "Dunefest"

Yup, In case Ya can't tell ... I really like Oregon sand :)
