What parts should I upgrade?

I need to know, what should I upgrade on my Blaster? it's a 2001 and I have about $2000 to blow on it, any suggestions with gearing and upgrades? I'm looking for speed, lots of it, and power, just don't know what to buy... Please help me, give me some parts names, I know where to buy them, thanks in advance people!I:I

welcome to the forum!

the first things i would do with that amt of money would be a stroker crank, porting to match with a head mod, right bend pipe (dynoport or f7, trinity), good clutch (burnett, driveline) , 14 front sprocket, good set of tires.

what kind of riding are you doing??

^^^^ x2 with that amount of cash you can do some serious engine mods. But Personally I would upgrade the suspension if you're running all stock right now. For a few hundred bucks you can upgrade the rear shock (400 ex is popular, use the search) and get a good set of fronts like some dual rates or ones with ressies. my $.02

Speed is all well and good, but not much use if the bike wont handle or wants to fall over.

Speng some money on getting it wider, longer and less teeth jarring.

I do mostly road riding, rarely go trailing.

if your on the road most of the time i bet a lowering kit would be in order. if you do go with a bigbore kit i would go with a la sleeve topend and not a vitos. that is unless you find a deal on a used one...
