I've stopped by here a few times in the past year or so, and there are a ton of new names. I was never a big poster on here, but used to try to help out where I could. Well, I just wanted to show off the reason why I havent been around here much. Setting it up for drag racing, but will pull a sled with it for fun. She's pretty quick. It may not look like much, but I'd say with my current setup and the parts I have in the mail, I should be close to or just over 500hp with proper tuning. These diesel's may be more addictive than ATV's, and certainly more expensive.

That's the same truck i learned to drive in a few weeks ago. B)

But the wheels. Man their killing me. It's like the 4-Wheeler tires that look like that. I don't find them attractive.

But it's not my truck right? It looks pretty nice. I:I

What are your plans for it/Running under the hood?

The rims are eagle alloy's. And the tires are toyo proxes. The reason for that tire and wheel choice is because the tires grip so well, and the way the siping is, for a street tire it should hook very well on the hard pack sled pulling tracks around here. The plans for it were to have it around 550hp, and run 12's in the quarter mile and be street friendly with low smoke and be able to take out any car around here that decides to try to beat me.

Buuuutttttttttttt................
With my current setup, i'm probably close to 500hp, havent had it on a dyno yet, but to me it feels slow. Everyone who has been in it says its fast, but its mine and I cant leave well enough alone. So, It's probably going to get a huge charger compounded with my already big turbo and run a twin setup. I believe if i can fit it into the budget, 750hp is going to be the new goal.

And paint it and clean it up too. But the ladies love it the way it sits right now lol

Current setup for those who are wondering
The injection pump was benched and maxed, but waiting on new delivery valves in the mail
Super B Special turbo
5x.015 Injectors
Fass fuel system
And a bunch of other little things that dont really matter

If you want to drag wouldn't it make sense just to get a car? With no weight in the back Dragging that thing must be hard, you must spinning the tires and burning a ton of rubber. ( Or is that the deal with the tires, no slip? ) Plus your pulling extra weight, you could probably get better runs, with the same amount of power, with a lighter car, with the same engine.

If by charger you mean A super charger. Your going to get Lag, But those twin turbos will probably make up for it.

Or i could be completely wrong, if I'm being Ignorant please let me know, I've only just put my foot in the door of Auto Machinery.

I'm interested in this, you gonna start a build thread?

When i get a truck, I'm going for a PreRunner Build.

Your "wouldn't you just buy a car" statement is exactly why I went with a truck. I can haul my blaster around, pull anything, go offroading, and surprise anybody on the street or strip. Oh, and its a 4x4. Boosted launches in a 4x4 are fun. By charger, I mean turbo. With a properly setup diesel, lag isnt as bad as you'd think unless you are running a huge charger.

Well i respect that man, trying to stay different. Keep going at what you doing.

seems like a good start to the motor set up, are you running any tune at all? also if your wanting that much power, should get a built tranny cause all that torque will start to take effect after a while, just my .02

Miles ahead of you sir. The very first mod after basic maintenance was about $4k in a billet tranny. And this truck is mechanical, no plug and play tuners here. Its a 12v cummins, so the only tuning you have is with basic hand tools.
