white smoke?

blueish is good actually perfect if its always blue even at hot temperatures then u maybe a bit rich on the fuel or 2 stroke oil but sure is better then white. and for your break in procedure honestly this whole heat cycles bull is defiantly your BEST break in. BUT dont chew yourself up about it just cuz u dident do the "perfect" thing like some of these rocket science / pro blaster builders. hahah never been bothered doing these rather long heat cycles hell my tores system stuck on my bike the very first start after rebuilding my blaster and she got about a 15 to 30 sec rev limiter hows that sound for a heat cycle break-in process (kill switch wouldnt shut-er down eather had to stall it out cuz of pre-ignition) MAKE SURE THIS DOSENT HAPPEN CUZ IT IS NOT GOOD ON FRESH MOTOR :p that was well over a year ago and my bikes still running strong. so your drive after rebuild is no problem, now in saying that dont go for a tour for hours and over heater but u can see what im sayin. aswell when breaking in keep the rpms low/mid and throttle away from wide open and youll be ok. I find some people on here must be yamaha factory race blaster rebuilders or something cuz these cycles r a bit drastic BUT im not saying there wrong they r your best bet but honestly arnt a MUST so u dident go abouts the breakin wrong at all its even good u checked the tenson on your bolts after. hahaha i laughed hard when i read " u rebuilt it today and road it today?????? i mean what do u expect to rebuild it and look at it till the end of the day ? WELL by the looks of some of these guys clean bikes that may be the case ;);) :s just had to put that straight for ya hoped this helped

The leak down test will tell you if the seal needs replacing.

If you get a leak when testing, (you can check the outside with soapy water) if there are no leaks on the outside, you may have to remove the gear box case to see if the crank seal is leaking.

well i was told it will blow a little white smoke after being rebuilt but it only blows a little white and then it dont blow any after a bit the smoke starts 2 be like a bluish

Not good advice, why tempt providence, when in half a day you can be sure you are not going to run into $$$$$$$$$$

2 stroke oil burns blue, not white.

:DTranny oil burns white, and stinks, if the smoke don't stink like a Japanese soldiers jock strap, then maybe you think it is white owing to its density!

I just bought an 02 blaster a few weeks ago and the exhaust was fine, then I refilled it with yamalube and it pours out white smoke like a fog machine. I think it's the oil, my buddy recommended polaris oil which he uses on his quad and sleds.

this wasn't advice it was clarification that his ride that he took after his rebuiild isnt going to do wrong, hell u dono he could of idled it in first for his ride i dono, u dono. and if something happend to his motor after a rebuild i dont think heat cycling will avoid that. all it dos is properly seat the ring piston and cylinder ( for a topend rebuild)

changing different oil wouldnt make it smoke less.. adding to much oil would would be why its smoking so much

it only smokes white when it idles or thats what it lookes like but it might be a light blue and yamalube is what awk told me 2 use and btw how mutch oil i need in the bottom end of the motor?

yes i think it is the tranny but i can just put 10w 30 in their and i think i might have 2 problem fixed but not sure i will get back 2 u all 2morrow

awk told you "yamalube" because your on a tight budget, and i know where your going to buy it and figured they would have it
awk also told you "maxima super m" if ya want really good oil for a little more $$$

ya and im runing yamalube and i gota add some oil 2 my tranny i think thats the problem that its smoking and if its not i will give you all a yell if its not the problem

low or high oil, or what type of oil, in the tranny does not matter unless the crank seals are bad
