I have an 02 blaster with stock motor and air box. Will the full kit with air box mod and jets be worth it or a waste of money? I like the toomey sound as good or better than other exhausts. This machine will be used for trail riding, no track riding. I have the stock exhaust on right now and it is ok. Also how will this affect the power band? I'm looking for good low and mid torque. Will this exhaust work for me? There is to many choices out there. Hope someone can help.

fmf is a better pipe for low and mid range. toomey is more mid and high. but toomey is by far my favorite of the well known pipes

Here is a dyno power graph of all know left bend pipes on your stock settings. Right bend pipes typically give you moer power up top/mid and I know thats not what your looking for good luck...

Didn't get the dyno graph. I didn't know about left and right bend pipes. What bend is a toomey and fmf pipe.

However like most things there is a bit of a trade off the right bend pipes will give you power much more power than leftys like the pipes shown in the graph as far as leftys are considered the toomey dominates. All the righty's will give a very similar increase to the toomey but more through out. However for the most part you sacrifice this much desired power, for duribility to resist a pounding of roost with rocks. However unlikely you should end up behind this person because of their pipe body is less protected from the plastic, frame and other factors. Which is why the YAMAHA compay decided to have their blaster pipes bend that way they wanted durability and quicker power than the glam and flash that the pipe companys so willingly give away. Hence the quicker power the graph shows but anything after 3rd it's easily left behind the others. So thats why I chose the toomey as my first blaster pipe but if I had to chose another I would happily chose the LRD specialitys pipe so there's your history lesson good luck.................

When you say bend of the pipe is that looking at the front of the machine or sitting on the machine? I think I will go with the toomey but still want to do a little more research. Are some pipes longer than others do to which way they bend? I assume that this changes tq and hp characteristics.

the toomey is the best pipe for all stock blaster engines or ported stock bore/stroke blaster or mild 240 blaster but for extreme engines with stroker kits ect the lrd or dyno port an the best

when you sitting on the quad the left bends are Toomey FMF Procircuit and stock ther right bends are Trinity F7 dynopore LRD those ones the kind of bend is which direction facing the front of your motor is the primary direction it goes in. If their is more pipe in front of your left leg it is obviously a lefty if there is more pipe on the right side of your leg it is a righty.................your welcome

whats confuseing keep it simple he wanted to know if th toomey kit is worth the $$$$ and imo it is

I said yes to buying it 3 times and then he asked what the differences were so I abliged him and explained it in depth.

Thank you for explaining that for me. I figure the it doesn't hurt to know more info. I'm going for the toomey. Thanks for all the good info.

I went to order a toomey b1 complete kit and found that there are none to be had. I called toomey and was told they haven't made any for the last two to three months and are back logged. Sucks for me but I will wait till I can get the kit that I want. I was told maybe by mid Aug stuff will be rolling again. It had something to do with tool and die machines and manufacturing parts. I don't want to wait to long though.

go to project blaster.com/exhaust pipes they have a decent selection I like the F7 for $335 for mostly stock motors. Here's a trick I picked up on and dont recomend doing unless you know what your doing. When you take a band saw to the end tip of a pipe like what I did to my toomey and left a little more than 1/4'' left and i swear it made it louder and made it a tad bit faster sad to hear about the toomey I was just doing research for a new build I'm thinking about doing and didden't even see it AUG 3

I Agree Had Toomeys On A Bone Stock Blasterd With A Uni Slip On Filter And Jet Kitt 30 Std. And It Ran Better Then Most Highly Modded Blasters At Drag Last Year.
