Almost drowned my blaster yesterday

I was riding across a small retention pond a couple of feet deep ( which I'd done at least a dozen times ) and I hit a deep hole and sunk. I had water coming in the tail pipe it was so deep. Luckily my 6 year old was smart enough to follow directions and I sent him back to the truck to get a strap. He backed his raptor 90 close enough that he could toss me the strap which I hooked to the back of my blaster and I could jump from my blaster to the back of his raptor holding the strap . We pulled my blaster out, and he towed me back to the truck. We loaded up, went home and I drained the tranny, pulled the spark plug and stood the blaster up on the grab bar and drained all the water out. I used the kick starter to get all the water out of the cylinder. I ran some oil thru the tranny and put the plug back in, filled it up with some oil, started it and let it idle for a few seconds, drained the fluid again and filled it up with some fresh bel ray and she was good to go. I didn't even get my feet wet ! BTW we went back and rode for almost 4 more hours.

For future reference, just get off the blaster if you are in that situation again. I don't know about your's but mine floats if I am off of it. At Wayne I actually took a shortcut and got off and floated it across a 3 foot deep stream in waders. Just stood beside it and pushed it across.

raptor 90's are beast im not even joking my freinds blazer was stuck and one of our utitly quads was down and we had 4 people pushing and it still wouldnt come out and then we hooked up my freinds little brothers raptor 90 and with 4 people pushing it came out

I could've gotten off and pushed it out but I didn't want to get my feet wet ( call me a sissy > : 0 )

If it were summer I would've but it was pretty chilly. I would put the blaster in 1st gear and put my legs on the front fenders and ease thru the pond. I'd done this dozens of times but this time I went thru a different area ( if you look at my vids from sunday's ride I got stuck about 15 feet to the right of where my son was doing donuts in the water ) As soon as it sunk it immediately filled with water so draining it was inevidable. I had sweat pants on under my jeans and I just didn't feel like getting wet especially since it was only 50 degrees . Yeah, I'm a puss > : 0 )

I hate getting wet when its cold. I sank my CR125R in about 2-3' of water. It fell over and was completely under water. It was a long cold push back to the truck.

sh*tty man. One of the few kids I've heard of that knew what to do lol

I remember riding my old 400 scrambler over a pond I had done many times before, then the ice broke and I was ass deep in freezing water (it was -20 outside with wind chill), good thing the scrambler didn't crap out, I rode it out and rode home as a block of ice. never been that cold.

a video of a 6yr old, pulling a blaster out of a pond with a raptor90,
