recently i have noticed my front left wheel(when your looking at it from the front of the quad) is slanted inward at the top alot more than the right wheel. i have no idea whats causing it, but whatever it is, it affects the whole frame. the whole frame is on an angle but when i push down on the bumper on the left side(again looking from the front) it evens out the tire and the fame looks normal. could this be the shock?

thanks,
matt.

Most likely it's either a tweaked frame or a-arm. You could switch shocks from side to side and see if it reverses the problem to the other side, but most likely something is bent or twisted, not the shock.

it could aslo be your spindle , i bent one when i hit a concrete man hole for a sewer , i didnt notice it until i was going fast and it started to pull to one side !!

oh it doesnt pull to one side or anything. it handles fine, it just looks sketchy and is not level. thanks yama rider, ill swap em but before i do, i think a easier way to find out, instead of swaping is measuring the length. im going to have to wait a week because its up north at my cottage.

i really think its just something wrong with one of the shocks. the right one might have a broken seal or something and it sits to low. if i push down on the front left, everything goes back to normal and the a-arms look fine.

I don't know what could be wrong with the shock to cause that though, unless it was bent or something. If it was just a blown seal it wouldn't affect the way the machine sits, as the spring is the only part that supports weight when the machine is at rest.

good point yamarider. both shocks are at the same stiffness and there stock so theres no other adjustments on them. this is such a piss off because i cant just go out into the garage and check some things when i get ideas of the problem. its 2 hours north of here.

if it was a bent a-arm could i just bend it back? kind of a broad question but i guess its my desision right? cuz it could be f*cked or it could be just nudged. how much would a new set of a-arms run me? stock or maybe extended ones.

If it's a bent a-arm your best bet is to just get a used one from a local shop or on ebay. Probably run you $20-50 that way. You're looking at over $300 for a set of low end aftermarket arms, and with aftermarket arms new shocks are a necessity because of the extra leverage on them. I'd guess that it's going to be a bent upper a-arm, i've seen that a couple times on blasters, the stock ones are a little under-built compared to most quads.
