hi folks. new around here, have a little question. been working on my buddies blaster, bone stock. the problem were having is that when idling, it revs way up. to the point that if we dont shut it off, it might blow. its ok when driving, but if u wanna sit somewhere, u gotta shut it off.
the blaster sat for like 6 years, and we cleaned the carb, decided to rebuild it to get gas flowing again. and its been like that since we put it back together.
any ideas?
thanx in advance for any help

im new to the blaster seen as well. just got one a month ago. But i believe on the carb or the switch assembly theres an ajuster screw which changes the idle. i think it changes other stuff too. So i'd wait for an expert opinion with correct terminology, but u can start it up and turn down the idle with the adjuster. but i think you should check you plug with EXriders.com, your Honda 400EX, 300EX, 250r, and 250EX resource... that chart im gonna assume its not running as good as it should be. but as i said im new and just giving my slim knowledge from experience so far :) Good Luck

U sure the carb was reassembled correctly? not kncking you just asking. also make sure the little screw on the side of the carb is 1 1/2 half out. just screw it all the way in and unscrew it 1 and a half turn out.
