Yeah, I haven’t really drove it in the winter because I have the tors on it still and it’s a pain to get the carb in and out to change the jet with the brick on top lol. But I might delete it before snow falls here, and I can jet it easier.
I’m just trail riding, kinda fast trails in most spots, but the trails are really sandy here. So I was thinking big bore for some more low end power. Or would a stock ported still have good bottom end power?
Yeah I was looking at carbs again and would probably go with a 33 if I go big bore...
Hey everyone, I’m looking into big bore kits for the Blaster. I’m starting to get some noise from my stock top end.
I’m interested in the Vitos big bore kit with the +3mm crank. Which will be 244.92cc. I want to run it with a 36mm carb, aftermarket reeds (Vforce or Vitos) and a FMF or Toomey...
I have a 2006 blaster, all stock. When the front wheels are facing straight forward the bars are turned a little to the left. I checked the tie rods and they are all fine, and the bars look straight... so I can’t tell if the steering stem is twisted or the bars are??? Also I was looking to get...
I just looked at my Blaster manual to see what it said about timing. All it says is “Ignition Timing Check, Adjustment free.”
So there might not be marks like I thought there was. Sorry about the misinformation, every other bike I’ve worked on has had timing marks on the flywheel.
If you do not have the oil injection system hooked up, mix the fuel 32:1 with a good 2 stroke oil. If the carb is oem make sure the oil injection line nipple is blocked off to not suck air in.
For the timing there should be marks on the fly wheel that line up with marks on the crankcase. A “T”...
Check that you are getting fuel in the engine, Start from the tank and work to the carb. Make sure your reed valves are in good shape. You should check that the exhaust is not plugged. If it doesn’t want to run still, I would check the timing to make sure it is firing at the right time.
Hey everyone, I’ve been looking for nerf bars and I see a few brands, Tusk, DG, and MotorSports Products. I kinda like the DG aluminum ones best, but was wondering how the quality is? And are nerf bars really necessary? I’m just trail riding.
Will I be loosing low end power with the changes I've mentioned? I just want to increase the power over all and not sacrifice the torque of how it is now. Or will I get more torque with these changes also? This is my first 2 stroke so I don't really know how changing the intake and exhaust...
I've looked at DMC and the FMF pipes, dont really know which one i want. Is DMC better than FMF? like build quality and performance? Or about the same?
