    jetting help 28mm pwk...

My 28 oko has jjh needle in it. Seems to be good match for my Blaster. Fairly stock aftrmarket exhaust and uni filter for modes. Keihin carbs use just one size for there emulsion tubes, Mikuni's have many but fewer needle selections than the keihin carb. hope this help ya.

    my epic day(not)

I would test it like larry said, add air pressure to the gear box side and listen. Most likely the clutch side seal is leaking and would explain the gas in the trans fluid and smokey exhaust. You won't need to split the cases if it's just the seal leaking, Just have to pull the clutch cover...

    Should I rejet?

Keihin and Mikuni jets use a different method to reach there sizing. Keihin use just a size, While Mikuni uses a flow method for sizes. From what I've read. Mikuni's aren't that bad for jetting as long as you know what you need. But I like Keihin's needle jets sizing to mikuni's. Mikuni's have...

    Made In The USA

Thinking fuel prices are having a factor in it. Less fuel is used to ship in country then from over seas, And at 4+$ a gallon that adds up even shipped in bulk.

    Should I rejet?

They probably tried to compensate the pilot with the main, Maybe???:o Pilot will feed fuel thru all of the throttle range but only effects idle range the most. High pilot numbers usually indicate air leaks being compensated for. But that main is really low for the blaster motor in stock...

    Should I rejet?

Sorry my bad on the pilot jet (dyslexic) some times. Awks right! Mikuni and Keinin jets have stamps on them next to the #'s Mikuni's have a box shape Keihin's have a star shape. then there are off brands. (don't know) if dyno jets have any marks on them. Hope you get it figured out. :)

    Carb to Throttle Questions

The carb i have was nice for main changes the bolt out the corner of the bowl is were the main sits. 10 secs i could change the main with out moving the carb :)

    Should I rejet?

The 28 should jet close to the stock from my experience with mine. So the pilot should be the 23.5 I believe and 240 main for completely stock. 270-290 range with af pipe and airbox lid off.

    Piston Slap?

The #'s next the intake side look to be the piston size? 75.25? I'm just guessing at that but someone with more knowledge should know for sure. I just have a stock piston in mine and the part # includes the size.

    Piston Slap?

Yes if it's in spec for a stock bore after honing, But you need to know the bore diameter before you order so you get the right piston size. The piston in it should have it's size stamped on top that should tell you the size bore spec to look for to go off of in mm. Hope this helps info wise.

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Intake Boot Size

Yes the 28 is the same sized as the 26 mikuni in all but the throat dimensions. As long as it's a small bodied carb.

    Carb to Throttle Questions

The right one is the stock mikuni the left is the 28vm mikuni. As you can see they have different cap sizes. Last is the cable I got to work for the blaster with aftermarket carb. Sorry I hadn't much time to respond will try to upload pics. That's the problem I had with my carb, But I had the...

im back haha piston video new !!!!!

If the rod tilts on the rod bearings more than a few mm it's out of spec, And will result in rod bearing failure. They have needle bearings in it so tilting play is a sign of wear. Now if it slide side to side that's not a critical. You may get by with it for awhile but it will fail soon if...

    sound of stock Blasters

Blaner you have someone using a lath in that motor or something similar :D Well I could hear a almost like a clicking like some thing getting machined on a lath sound. Mine did that right after the big end bearing went on the rod.
