    Corroded flywheel

I have a Stock exhaust, just replaced the rubber gasket that connects the exhaust to the pipe.

    Corroded flywheel

I have a 25 dollar air filter, v force reeds, oil injection delete, tors disabled (by just unplugging all the wiring for it). I have a 250 main jet and stock 32.5 pilot jet, float is about 20.5 mm. It does smoke a little too much and smells like something burnt so I could have a crank seal bad...

    Corroded flywheel

Okay, thanks. I use a leak tester and spray soapy water on the possible leak areas. The spark is light blue, I have a cheap air filter on it may be suffocating the engine.

    Corroded flywheel

I took apart my flywheel cover and noticed the whole front face of the flywheel is corroded and has a little rust. Will it be fine? do I need to sand it down? Or get a new one.My blaster isn’t running too well right now it sputters a little bit and when the rpms drop it will do a few little...

Very poor power in low gear

I rode it earlier and it just has power loss in general in every gear, it is just easier to tell when in low gear. My jetting is all stock but I have a 250 main jet sitting around.

Very poor power in low gear

Oh yeah and there is a bit of a knocking noise in the engine too. So it would probably be bad piston rings… right lol. I did have a major air leak and was riding it for a couple days until I relised something was wrong. So that could have also caused engine damage.

Very poor power in low gear

My blaster starts first kick every time and has lots of power in 4th and 5th gear and decent power in 3rd. But in 1st and 2nd it practically does nothing. It bottoms out at like 1/8th throttle in first gear. I have a 1989 blaster with stock everything except V force reads 4, Oil injection...

Idles only on choke and try’s to runaway when reving, it has ran-away once.

Welp, i found another air leak on the plate that connects to the end of the exhaust, not sure If I could seal it with yamabound 4. Or should I have to replace the gasket?

Air Leak Between Reed Cage and Intake Manifold

    Yeah it was off.

Air Leak Between Reed Cage and Intake Manifold

I filled the hole with yamabound 4, I’m not sure if it will work but it’s worth a try.

Air Leak Between Reed Cage and Intake Manifold

So I just bought a new carb boot manifold that goes on the Reed gasket. It’s not stock, and it has a hole on the top part that extends out (it’s soposed to be there) and I do a leak test and the air just pours out of the hole. I don’t know if I’m soposed to do something with it or if it works...

Idles only on choke and try’s to runaway when reving, it has ran-away once.

I checked the reeds and they are still perfect. But I noticed the reed cage and intake boot are both warped from over tightening which causes a bad air leak. So I bought v force reads and new intake boot. And figured out the carb had a wrong needle valve float size. So I replaced it and it...

Air Leak Between Reed Cage and Intake Manifold

Do u think the reed cage could also be bad from over tightening. I had the same issue and I think both reed cage and boot is bent.

Either that or I have a lot of resistance from crap in the engine and it just really needs a top end rebuild.
