    Building a woods racer

So on my suspension setup, I've got ASR +3 long travel a arms with 400ex oem shocks, yfz450 spindles/hubs/brakes and 400ex stock brake line. On the back I've got a "swing arm shop" +2 roundhouse swing arm with 400ex axle/carrier/brake and a 400ex rear shock with a blaster spring (a lot softer...

    Building a woods racer

im in the process of turning my 1988 Yamaha blaster into a aggressive trail machine/ occasional XC race bike. I started with getting my suspension upgraded and it rides pretty nice now and I can hit the trails hard. I think I'm ready to upgrade my motor now. It's all stock with just a toomey...

American Star Racing LT A-arms. Blaster spindles VS Banshee spindles!

I think 04 up to 09, or when ever they changed to the yfz450r, is a little different. my brother bolted on yfz450 calipers on his banshee no problem and is a really nice brake upgrade. I think I bought 06 spindles/hubs off ebay for mine.

American Star Racing LT A-arms. Blaster spindles VS Banshee spindles!

ive got yfz450 spindles on my blaster with the ASR long travel arms, with balljoints instead of heim joints. it turns pretty good, but my camber is off quite a bit. I will try and post some pics for comparision.

    American Star Racing Heim Joints

im looking but I cant see too much of a difference, other than a little ring on the new pair  On a side note, I replaced my heim joints with their ball joints. they are really stiff and turning is alot harder, havent rode enough to make them loosen up yet.

    Aftermarket A arms?

I bought the ASR +3+1 long travel arms and I used stock 400ex front shocks and its a pretty nice setup. then I replaced the heim joints with banshee/yfz balljoints from ASR and bought some yfz 450 spindles and going to get some yfz calipers too and have a good hydraulic brake setup. I also...

    400ex rear shock with linkage

Wow. Yea a lot of good reading in there! I didn't have time to read every post, just skimmed through it. He went very in depth with his work, which looked like it came out great. I don't think i get that much involved, but I will be doing a lot of testing with mine once I get started. The Honda...

    400ex rear shock with linkage

i have a plan to try out a linkage on the rear suspension on my blaster. I've got a "swingarm shop" +2" roundhouse swingarm with a 400ex carrier/brake/axle. Going to use a 400ex rear shock also. Only mod to the frame should be welding a bracket to bolt the linkage up to. Gonna start with the...

    Best all around swingarm

Got my swingarm on finally. 400ex stock carrier and axle/brake setup and 14/38 gearing. A little tall but should work good when I get my motor built up. The 400ex parts work great with with this swingarm shop +2 roundhouse carrier. Haven't been in the trails yet, but it still turns good and can...
