    250 full rebuild

Had to chamfer all the holes in the head. There was a slight ridge around each stud. That was the “rock” I was feeling with no gasket.

Got the new forged Wiesco set for proper squish.

    01 Blaster FS

You should read the whole thread. It sold early 2019.

    250 full rebuild

The head has a slight bit of rock to it when placed on the jug with no gasket. So that will have to be trued up before reassembly with a new piston. Definitely leaking pretty good.

Yeah it definitely had a bit of cold seize at one point. I showed that to my son and explained how that happens. But at the time of the failure it was definitely warmed up properly.

Head gasket was leaking a bit, normally that doesn’t cause a lean condition though.

What oil are you using and what ratio?

Expansion Chamber blockage fix? (stock exhaust)

Glad to hear, lot easier than burning too.

    Blaster runs away

Does it shutoff with the kill switch? If it does then it isn’t really running away.

Expansion Chamber blockage fix? (stock exhaust)

Sorry, not dent removal. Pipe cleaning or de carboning

Expansion Chamber blockage fix? (stock exhaust)

Scary? Google how to remove dents from a 2 stroke pipe.

Blaster kicker soft then hard right befor it starts

I’d check the flywheel key and coil pickup first. If those are in good shape I’d pull the topend and check carbon build up and ring end gap.

intersting theory on 2 stroke oils

Stihl oil is terrible, yes even in chainsaws. I’ve pulled many top ends on saws that strictly ran stihl synthetic and the build up is awful. Some of this is due to poor tune in the older saws, but the newer m-tronic saws have no excuse.
