If you don't hone then new rings won't wear into the bore and you will never have proper compression. That's the whole point of breaking in a new engine. Also, make sure your head gasket isn't leaking.

screw the 400ex get a z400/kfx400 sooooo much better. liquid cooled. twin cam. reverse

here ill support the other side of ur argument. i got rid of my blaster for a kfx400 havent regretted it even 1 bit. rides so much smoother. stock you just throw it into the corners and it doesnt even think of tipping. and the power is just so usable for the trails. i had to rebuild mine due...

ill take new technology over 80's technology any day. line up an ex with my kfx/z and ill smoke it all day long

go for the kfx. much better quad than the ex. more powerful. more advanced motor. and reverse. if you can get a 05+ it has piggyback shocks

the $80 is additional labor. the prices you see are for that service only. elka stage 3 are way better but much more expensive
