8 Year update.
Added a oil cooler. The cooler is off a 1983 XJ650 Turbo. The lines and oil filter housing are from a 1985 FJ600. No hose clamps or custom lines, all OEM parts matched to make this a bolt-in.
Dyna coil mounts. The wires exit the bottom of the coils.
Sealed NGK plug caps...
I haven't had enough room to take it up to full speed. On paper its around 100mph with the 50 tooth rear. It has a 6 speed. I picked that motor due to its physical size/shape.. its not going to be anywhere near an R6 or CBR600, but it is just about right for that small frame.

I'm not sure if this is a offical name for it, but I like to call the 700XX a Backbird. A call back to the CBR1100xx Blackbird of the 90s.

The bike fell over in the barn over winter. All the gear lube must have leaked out of the vent. He went for a ride in spring and locked up the rear tire solid.
I bet you could still fit. It will be a lot stronger if its not so wide. If you want to make it easy you could just make it as wide as the rear frame tube like mine. Plus you won't have to go so far to connect in the motor mounts.
