Hey guys I’m new to the forum and want to discuss what to do with my 2003 blaster engine rebuild. I’m leaning towards port polish chamfer mill the head jet and pre mix. Any help is appreciated.

Ok but what about milking the clearance down on the head a few thousandths? I made over 11k rpm with a quad like that before but it was a headache most of the time

Milling is just going to raise compression. You are still stuck with the stock combustion chamber. Which isn't the greatest.rechambered head is changing combustion chamber shape to a more efficient design. Compression is raised also .its a no brainer

Port cylinder for type of riding with rechambered head . definitely a good gain

Stock head is a conical shape.
Rechambered is Hemi .
It’s only about $60 to get the best.
Search members “Best” and “JoeAK47” both have lots of info on head designs.

So I should re chamber the head and mill it down a few thousandths? Or just re chamber? and port the exhaust? I want to do stock bore and squeeze more out of the stock bore. I can figure out the rest with jetting and fuel but am uncertain on the best motor option.

There will be no need to mill the head when you have it rechambered.you can have it rechambered for pump gas which will raise compression over stock.or rechambered for different higher octane race fuels only.
And a trail port. It will give you a big power increase.i had mine done at ken oconner racing.look him up

What is a trail port?
It is ported for trail riding.good usable power . not just topend. There is a variety of different port jobs. Depending on the type of riding you do. If you trail ride you will be very happy with a trail port. You will have more power across the board
