New to the forum. I just installed a Toomey B1 pipe kit on my blaster. It gets to about half throttle than bogs out. I installed the 310 jet they supplied with it and have airbox lid removed with my k&n air filter. Do I need to do the tors eliminator? Is the 310 jet not rite for my altitude in Colorado? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 310 Toomey suggests is for their vent holes in the airbox, and probably not with a K&N filter with lid removed
put the lid back on and see if it gets better for one pull, I wouldn't ride it for extended periods until you get this figured out

what is your elevation ? I'm sure not all of Colorado is mile high like Denver ? (google your city elevation)
air is thinner at higher elevations and you very well may need less fuel, or more for the lid off/K&N ?
plug chops will tell you .....

My elevation in Colorado Springs is 6,035' I'll put the lid on and try that for a pull. I'll post results as soon as I get a chance to try it. Thankx

Ok, well I put the lid back on the airbox and was much worse. Couldn't even get out of driveway.

that suggests you are indeed rich
Ease your way down one jet size at a time until it will at least pull to 5/6th gear, then plug chop to confirm, rejet as the plug read suggests, plug chop as many times needed to get it right

Will do, thank you for the help. Will try to dial it in as soon I get a chance and update the results.

I put a toomey b1 pipe on and I put the 310 jet in and have my air lid still on and I give it gas and it sputters really fast almost immediately

This is an older thread. If you start your own you may get more replies.
Assuming stock carb?
Float high set correctly
32.5 pilot jet
Stock needle with clip in middle position
Start with air screw. With bike off.
Turn in clockwise till LIGHTLY seat.
Turn back out counter clockwise 1 1/2 as a starting point.
Going to need some new plugs for plug chops.

List what is in the carb now. If you changed out the stock needle put it back in.
