Just had my boys 200’s head skimmed new piston etc, but trying to start it is hell on Earth, that’s if it starts.. but on some kicks it’s squeaking... any tips on the squeak or the absolute fight to start her

How much did you cut the head? Is it hard to kick, or just won't start.
Is a fresh bore, or new piston in old hole? Did you gap the rings?
Have you checked the reeds? Carb squeeky clean? Float level correct?

It wasn’t much as the scratches weren’t deep 3/4mm I think. It’s easy to kick, it does want to start, it started ran like a dog for 30 secs before cutting out even giving throttle, the reeds look nice, fresh bore and new piston and rings. New carb , actually haven’t checked float ‍♂️. Why the squeak? Crankshaft seals?
