I no longer have the self oiling system can I block off the pump. And would you suggest replacing the clutch basket waste mine is folded over.

Block off the pump and be sure to block off the nipple on the carb. That washer is supposed to be bent over to keep the nut from backing off.

now look what you did you made me say nipple, bent over and nut all in the same post.
Lol dang, only thing I didn’t make you say was, just the tip. Ok thanks for the info, I should have known that about the washer but I just want to make sure.

Ok so the blaster passed a leak down test with flying colors. After I blocked off the crank case hoes. My question is did that hose operated the oiling system and can I delet it at the case? It’s also passed compression test. What would cause this thing to smoke worse then my power stroke? Everything is bran new and none of it is cheap Chinese crap. New top end all new seals and gaskets top and case rebuild carb with factory jets main and pilot. I’m lost and over it.

If you are talking the hose kind of under the carb, that's the trans vent. If you're leaking from there, you have a problem. No matter which hose on the engine is leaking air, that's a problem.

Is excess smoke white and stinky? With other comments I say you have a leaking crank seal. With as old as these things are I'd consider them maintenance. Nothing lasts for ever.

I have done split the case all new gaskets seals bearings. Complete rebuild. It smells like two stroke would. Now before I did the complete build it would burn the crank case oil up in about a 1/4 mile suck it bone dry.
