Yamaha blaster won't start

Help I have a 2001 Yamaha blaster bought it and drove it for a while and even put money into it and now it won't start I put a new spark plug and nothing it tries to crank but can't and idk how to adjust the carb cause everything else is good on it I think it's just the carb because it started but died instantly while I was messing with the carb because they said I was driving to rich now IIt doesn't turn on and drove with choke half way out.. hope this helps
 
If you have enough cash I would invest in a new carb or do some research and look at some carb rebuild kits because that could be your only problem but also might not be your only problem so keep an eye out best of luck!!!

What did you spend money on?
How long is "a while?"
What all have you done or tried? Have checked the spark? Is it fat or lazy yellow?

Do you have a clue as to what exactly you are doing to the carb?
Have you tried cleaning the carb? Set the float?
Clean the fuel petcock and tank vent ?

Any aftermarket carb is likely to cause more problems than it solves.

get a book and read it. These machines aren't to complicated to get running. Just retrace what you did.
 
I should have said CHEAP afftermarket carb. A good carb costs$100 minimum new. Genuine Kehine or Mikuni. Unless you modifications anything bigger than stock except a 28mm you will be unhappy with.
 
Coming back to this post I think you should try and spray some gas into the spot where the carb would be. straight into the cylinder through the reed. I had read that somewhere about doing this. If you don't want to do it I still recommend getting the new carb because that seems to be the source of your problem.
