Hello, I have a 1990 yamaha blaster that I rebuilt. I was looking for a vin number In front of the foot peg, but I cant find one. There doesn't seem to be any major scratching there either. There is scratching, but it doesnt even go past the powdercoat of the frame. The engine still has the serial number.

I know this is an older post but I thought I would drop this in. Several years ago an acquaintance of mine bent the frame on my 5 month old Suzuki Eiger 400. I did not have it insured at the time so I ordered a frame from the dealer and swapped all of the parts over to the new frame. The dealer told me that replacement frames do not have vin numbers. They had suggested engraving the vin onto the frame. I did not have an engraver at the time so it never had a vin. Not saying this is the case here but.....
