Just want to make it look nice again . I am going to do a complete rebuild and do not want to put old ratty plastic back on .

Yes, generally any replacement plastic is Maier

Are you looking at the different hoods?

Many people have different setups, if you want some pictures just let us know

Here is mine. Had a CF 450r vented hood added to it

Very nice looking quad. that front hood. is it a nice fit and sit nicely on the race front fender? I have just ordered a full set of Maier plastics for my bike and just seen your photo and like the look of the hood. What modifications had to be done to make it fit?

Thanks

Just drilled the 4 holes and it sat pretty flush. not perfect but nothing is...

I cut my maier piece and bent it up so the vents were actually open. idk if it actually improved anything but i did it

Sweet. Thanks dude. Will have a look over it now. Is sooo hot and needing something relaxing to do as I drink a beer.

Really cool and more satisfying when you don't just buy something! I did a similar one with a Maier one piece race front and carbon (450r) hood...and not just aesthetic!

Do you have to cut / trim the MFG race fender at all to make the hood fit? No trimming at the front of fender? Apart from cutting a hole for the air flow from scoop in hood.

Thanks dude. LOL blaster eating foot. nom nom.

Will a 450r hood fit without cutting the MFG fender? or would the hood set to low or high?

I originally had no holes cut and i fit fine, but i decided to cut 2 little hole to let air in, then i decided to just cut it all out to make it easy to get to the stuff under the hood.
Its hard to just spend all the $$$$ on fenders then start cutting them up! Mount the hood to the fender then decide.
