Yamaha 50 Dirt Bike

alright im completely out of ideas with this thing. ive tried everything! no leaks, clean carb, and tried adjusting the fuel screw. brought it to the yamaha dealer and they have no idea what up with it either. also they had no jets for it.... im stumped. if i richen the fuel screw, it bogs like hell and is hard to start. if i lean it, it runs fine, but runs terrible and has no power. if i turn on the choke, it runs near perfect (still a little lean). with the air box open. it runs terrible and bogs too much. idk what to do. should i up a jet size or two? pilot, main? idk where to even find them. help! lol

i had same problem with ttr90..took awhile but i believe what fixed it was turning air screw down and idle up,fresh gas..that was my experience:)Have you tried adjusting it while it is running? if not do it:)
Make sure your screwdriver is actually turning it and not hitting carb body,if i remember correctly i had to real work at getting to airscrew cuz it was installed backwards to almost every carb on the planet......
got any pics lol..have you searched the web for the same problems?i bet it is happing to all of those bikes....

I have. I spent a day trying to adjust air screw. It just Boggs more with it out.

from your first post id be inclined to check the fuel tap delivery our nippers malaguti did a similar thing and the petcock seal was blocking the flow only allowing it to idle but not rev out under load as if it was out of fuel

thats one effed up carb
the blaster even had a recall on the o rings too the pet fuel @#$% as per say local yamaha dealer in my town
try loosing the gas cap to ,to see if it changes

bloody hell by the complexity of it id say someone has had a tinker before it got to you mate , air leaks could be plentiful on a carb like that with all its brilliance lol

all in thinking mate equates to giving it a leak test to save time and money otherwise its a a long process of elimination which is never anygood

when something sits for a long time, then obviously carb gets dirty, seals go bad and animals build nest in exhaust, thing get gummed up,in researeching my ttr90 problem like 1 year ago people were just simply replacing carbs,i clean adjusted, rode for like 4 days till problem solved lol ect..then again i fix everything that comes my way for pennies if not free :)
