I received my KOR ported cylinder and Re-chambered head with a Wiseco piston kit and gaskets the other day and I have to post a review about the quality of the work done and the service that Ken provides, it is outstanding !! Just from the quality of the package I received I could tell he is a guy that knows how to please his customers. My recommendation if you don't live in the USA is that it is well worth the shipping costs, I am in the UK and I now consider KOR #1 for blaster engine work :D

Keep up the good work ken !!! I:I

glad you liked your experience with ken,
wait till you get to ride it !!!!
we'll expect a report on that too ?

seeing you recommend it even though your in uk has put a smile on my face. how much for all that you listed including shipping? he may have another UK customer very soon ;)

All of that I listed was £380 including shipping there and back. however i did annoyingly have to pay import tax in it too but im sure if you send an e-mail to ken about getting it through without being robbed by the thieving HMRC he will be happy to help, he is a real nice guy !! if mine runs as good as it looks then i hope i will be seeing 35-40 horses (a rough estimate from other KOR veterans would be appreciated ;) Thanks guys).

I hope kens work does branch over here more as he is one of the best racing outfits I have had the pleasure of dealing with and I think other British racers should experience what a real specialist can do without the ridiculous price tag that it would cost here (id guess at least 3 times the price I paid for the same work)

Hope you do use ken as you will not regret it !!

Great to hear, he is very highly supported on this forum. Looking forward to a ride report.

It looks like Ken can add "world renowned" to his credits now.

that i know of, ken has done work for guys in Canada, the UK, Italy, Australia, and Arab Emerites,
some guy from India even emailed him after seeing the youtube vids, he wanted to come over and have ken train him, but he couldn't afford it.
i think ken told me he said he's only getting the equivialent of $8 US. to do a bore job right now, LOL

yeah definately will be looking to use ken :) that really isn't a bad price considering the effort he puts in and the price of services in the uk. How much was your import tax? guessing, you could sign it as gift and avoid that :) he'll be getting a call of me very shortly.

The tax, rather annoyingly was £99.36 but im sure if he marks it as a gift and declares its value under £40 then it will get through customs easily :D

i think it is still well worth the price with the tax included imo but i would try and avoid giving those thieving b******s HMRC any money, they take enough off us already.

Same issue to Canada, but there can be big problems for a business to mark it as a gift, especially if there is any record of money transacted.

Hey, the government patches us up when we get smashed up, how can we complain?
Pay your taxes and give it the gas.
Join a political party (all of them!) so your voice is heard and make sure you vote.

Glad to read this Phil, I am sure you will be into the 30s for HP.
40s are a longer stretch but you may get there.
Pay careful attention to your squish distance.

Good on ya!

Steve

Yea Steve, you're right i cant really argue about the tax tbh it was still cheaper than getting it done here and the NHS here does fix me up every time i wrap myself round a tree ;)

Mid 30's is what im aiming for so that encouraged me ;)

Just try getting stuff in Oz, if I buy from a dealer, I have to pay his freight, plus the tax, and his markup. and I have to wait yonks until he gets it.

Paying freight from US is the much cheaper option.

The tax is not that bad if it comes from usps its 20% plus £8 handling fee its just the time they hold on to your item :-( my a-arms have been in the UK since the 16th of this month and they are not expected to arrive till the 30th, bummer!
