mud tires on the blasty

22x11x8 ITP Mud Lites. They be HAPPENIN' in mud but take from the scream and slide of everyday riding.
As light as they are they are noticeably heavier to swing and spin, maybe as much from the diameter.
I am stock width and had to space my wheels out slightly (1/2") to clear the stock foot guards.
Just lean back and put all the weight on the back tires. Be prepared for wheelies even in mud with the stock swingarm.

This vid below is a couple feet of water over a foot of soft mud. Water was up to my waist when I stepped off of the Blaster and I floated it to shore.

If you are going to ride in water and mud this deep you want to seal the air intake off well and take air from over the fuel tank.
I bought my blaster used... it came with mudshark tires on the rear... i think they are excellent tires acrtuall there just on the rear the only think ive noticed that i havent exactly liked is on wet grass they some times tend to spin a little like when trying to take off fast for a wheelie or something..

I hear that bro, I think the larger diameter holds it back slightly ... But the up side of that is the added clearance, extra bite for launching on take offs so you can rev it up higher without spinnin out of control, and when I've rode with other blaster with stock tires I've been told they were wide open in 6th gear and im ahead of them still pulling away in 4th. But I do agree its definately a give and take !

Hung up on bottom and dead. The Mudlites motored thru spots like this with ease:
Now that you mention it, I think the bigger tires were easier to control too because they didn't spin up as quickly.
Great for rough trails, no problem to run with the 4x4s or even run around them because you are still faster.
Not so fun for flat tracking and drifting the fire roads.
Why we ride!
The Kid usually runs our Mudlites mounted backwards ... says they grab roots & rocks better climbing our steep trails and exploring in the woods ... just his opinion

To " best " and " YZ Otis " DAMN ... I like your style of ridin, I'm usually the only 2 stroke I ride with that'll go in that type of slop. And that's the truth about them mudlites, they allow us to ride with the 4x4's but we still have the speed advantage ... In that aspect we have the best of both worlds. I wish we could ride sideways a little better too and work them powerslides, but like I said I guess its a give and take type of deal. KEEP THE MUD FLYIN FELLAS ! ! !
22in Carlyle strykers, Not to terrible I like them for what they are, side knobbies grab a little to much though for sliding through turns which I don't like, when the catch it makes for a fun/not so fun ride, lol and that is with half of them cut out.
i run 22in mud lites...you have to have 22in for mudding because you need all the ground clearnce you can get...i would run gators and they re only like 85 bucks each
try kenda knarly mxr's.. big lugs for mud but can be ridden everywhere else. not as tall as 21 obviously but i love them in woods and mud, and can take them out on a track and hook up on hard pack

Yeah, I had ta get pulled like a sissy thru anything the slightest bit wet. Sucked, soooo,,,,
It was time for me to wake up and get the mudders on so I could play with the big boys.
Doesn't always help though...
Now I can tackle this sort of thing with dignity,
...and rest peacefully waiting for the others to catch up instead of ...
... instead of dying beside the trail.
All in keeping with the dead thread theme?

Don't know if I posted on this but I had mud lites for a while.
Never really in any mud but didn't car for them because they wouldn't sleep very easily unless I tried hard, to much side bite. They were 11-22-9 on Warrior rims that I had to flip to get clearance.
Bought a set of oversized mud lites XL for the Foreman 4x4 not stuck yet
